Well, here's the truth of it.
I originally wanted the game for Linux as thats my main thing. Turns out the development kit I decided to use doesn't work right on Linux (not Linux fault) but originated on Mac, then Windows later. So, I just push a button and get a version for Mac or a version for Windows for the same design. That's easy!
Making a DMG file for Mac users is real easy to deal with, but so is the setup.exe file for Windows. Thats a tie as to ease of installation.
Though the game is 99% the same on either platform, just just looks so much better on the Mac. The Windows version doesnt have the sliding drawer for Cashier or the rolling window shades for PreSet Bets. I always play the game on my Mac Mini which is a wonderful box.
I find it interesting that sales of the game are 60-70% Mac. I expected the opposite but it makes me happy.
Now watch out for them Sevens!
Just recently got a Mac OS X, thanks for developing for this great system.
Me 2, thanks.
It is very unusual for most new games to offer a MAC version.
Alan, did you do a MAC version because it is easier now that it is unix?
