Interesting subject. I have posted the POLL that was mentioned.

I can tell you that based on the MACWORLD article, we have had about 90% Mac Sales. On a very level playing field, I find that interesting and cool. The game is 98% identical on either platform. Macs just look better and the drawer and window shade style sub-windows are so sexy.  Without getting into the cult and religion of either platform, I am glad to offer both.

Me 2, thanks.

It is very unusual for most new games to offer a MAC version.

Alan, did you do a MAC version because it is easier now that it is unix?

Well, here's the truth of it.

I originally wanted the game for Linux as thats my main thing. Turns out the development kit I decided to use doesn't work right on Linux (not Linux fault) but originated on Mac, then Windows later.  So, I just push a button and get a version for Mac or a version for Windows for the same design. That's easy!

Making a DMG file for Mac users is real easy to deal with, but so is the setup.exe file for Windows. Thats a tie as to ease of installation.

Though the game is 99% the same on either platform, just just looks so much better on the Mac. The Windows version doesnt have the sliding drawer for Cashier or the rolling window shades for PreSet Bets. I always play the game on my Mac Mini which is a wonderful box.

I find it interesting that sales of the game are 60-70% Mac. I expected the opposite but it makes me happy.

Now watch out for them Sevens!

Linux, wow you really are a geek, cool! I am a MAC / unix geek (in that order) and love it.

There is stiffer competition on the PC side. Apple does a good job of promoting new apps for there new (not so new but are still pushing it as if it were) OS. Did you get any PC articles written as the one at MACWORLD? (also does a good job of promoting & is how I first learned of your game)

Looking forward to the day when the people at this board can use it to play together (multiple user interface) on the net or maybe even on the iPhone Cool Could make for some interesting bed fellows.

Well to answer your question, only MacWorld picked up the release news release, which was for both O/S.  I did get a kind repsonce from Mac Life magazine, who may do a feature. Seems to be more of a market need for the Mac.

Knowing the Commie, I mean Republican backlash against online gambling, the game was designed to distance itself from that controversy. Still getting burned, as last week Google Adwords and Microsoft Adcenter BOTH kicked me out for having the word "Craps" in my Ad. A rift in The Force for sure.  Huh
