New Features in Version 1.2, release July 1 2007

Designer's Notes:
With this last round of feature enhancements, MCG goes a full level up in playability.

My Craps Game v1.2 Upgrade
A free upgrade is available to paid customers of previous versions of the game. If you are a paid customer and did not yet get an email with upgrade download notification, let us know.

Features and Fixes

1)  Extended Free Odds Limit Options to include Odds setup for 5X and 20X, in addition to the Standard Las Vegas 3X-4X-5X Odds and 10X Odds that were already in v1.1. This allows the player to match the environment that they will encounter on a live table for Free Odds behind Pass Line and/or Come Bets.

2) A new feature has been added to Return to Rail any existing Place Bet, when Coming Out and the Point is Established on the same number a Place Bet is sitting on. A simple animation and Results message indicate the return of the Place Bet to the players' Rail.

3) Added a new Option for: Put a BUY Button on Place 4 / Place 10" as
"Automatic when $25 or more"
or
"I will put it on myself".

Note that the Auto-BUY feature does work when 4/10 Place numbers are put on the table via the Preset Bet Place button.

Come Line Bets/Odds have been improved as follows:

4) When a Come Bet is on, if a Seven is rolled, the Come Bet is paid and now returned to the rail with a simple animation showing this is the case as well as a Results message stating "Come Bet Returned to Rail". Previously, the Come Bet stayed on the Table for the next Coming Out roll.

   (This is big!)

5) When a Point is made and there are Come Bets still on the table, the game will now present a small prompt for Come Bet Odds: On or Off. Most Casinos will allow the player to call their Come Bet Odds as On (Working) or Off, just like the Hardways on a Come Out roll.

This new prompt is only shown when there are Come Bet Odds on the table. The player can also choose to make new Come Odds bets, this will then cause the Come Bet Odds On/Off prompt to appear as there are now Come Bet Odds bets to deal with.

The game will remember the last On/Off decision and make that the default for the next time.

Should the player have Come Bet Odds on the table and call those bets as "Off", when a Seven is rolled, the game takes the losing base Come Bets as usual, but now returns the Come Bet Odds to the player's Rail with a simple animation showing this is the case, as well as a Results message indicating that these bet(s) are Returned To Rail.

Conversely, should the player call their Come Bet Odds as "On", the game will pay the base Come Bets as well as the Come Bet Odds at True Odds, of course. The latter was the case in the previous version.

6) A bug in the Come Out Roll NOT recording a loss on a 2 or 3 or 12 has been fixed.

7) A validity check was added to Horn Bets to require at least a $4 bet.

Alan,

Please check the odds for "Don't Pass" bets. I could very well be wrong, but it seems that it'll let you bet more than the odds limit.

For example - On the number 4, the odds are 3X. If you start with $10 and start putting $10 bets on the odds, it'll let you go all the way to $60. Same with some of the others, but it may not be double per se. This also works from the Don't Come line. You can also do this by just putting $50 straight down (again for the number 4 with $10). All of the money is coming from the "gold" coins sections.

Unless of course the odds *X changes from the Pass line to the Don't Pass line.

Pass line appears to be ok.

I'll try and test some more, but I realize you don't want to spend a whole lot more time tweaking the code.

As I like to play Dont Pass, this subject is dear to me. There was only ever one real complaint about the game in v1.0; that the Dont Pass Odds were just 3x-4x-5x times the Bet. My in person survey of 8 Las Vegas Casinos revealed one consistant rule: On Dont Pass, It your winning potential - Not the amount of the bet. So since v1.1 the game has worked the right way, a $10 Dont Pass Bet will allow $60 Odds on all numbers.

This is well documented in the Help, How To Play section:

Dont Pass Odds / Dont Come Odds

As everything is opposite in Dont Pass betting (sometimes called wrong way betting), so are the Odds. We "Lay Odds" on the Dont Pass side, meaning we are betting more than we are getting. Lets consider an easy example. We bet $10 on the Dont Pass Bar when Coming Out.

Point Is       Odds   Ratio  Win Max Odds
6 or 8        5 to 6   5X    $50  $60
5 or 9        2 to 3   4X    $40  $60
4 or 10      1 to 2   3X    $30  $60

Here, the Odds are based both on the amount you initially bet ($10) AND the maximum amount you could win based on the Point (3X,4X,5X) using Standard Las Vegas Odds. Of course, should you select the Game Option for 10X Odds, just replace (3X,4X,5X) with 10X at the same Odds Ratio.

The game has the math correct, so just let it do the math for you and have fun with it.  For myself, I dont like the $2 gets you $1 Lay Odds on the 4 and 10, so will go light on those Odds as the really kill ya if the 4 or 10 come in!

Alan,

Please check the odds for "Don't Pass" bets. I could very well be wrong, but it seems that it'll let you bet more than the odds limit.

Unless of course the odds *X changes from the Pass line to the Don't Pass line.

Pass line appears to be ok.

I'll try and test some more, but I realize you don't want to spend a whole lot more time tweaking the code.

Are lay bets available on the come out? I don't see this feature, unless I just missed it.

Thanks,

MrScott-

Nope. No Lay Bets. I have never seen anyone make a Lay Bet on a live table and there wasnt room on the Layout, so it was not included. Don't Come Bets are fully functional.
