Been a little slow on the board, so here is some news you can use.

After some years of banging the dice on live tables in Las Vegas and on my computer, certain things become evident.  I have condensed some of that experience into two live un-edited Video sessions of My Craps Game in action. I am making these freely available to all, as I am a wonderful person.  And maybe get some new customers too.

See the top, center of http://mycrapsgame.com  for the Winning Lessons section.

Lesson 1 is about playing with the shooter, making 2X Odds behind the Pass Line and Place Bets on the 5,6,8,9 unless one of those numbers is the point. Let 4 rolls go by after the point is established and take down the Place Bets. Much patience and emotional control needed for this, some people will not have both virtues.

Lesson 2 is about winning on the Dark Side, betting on the Don't Pass, which I know a lot of you are aware of. My long term stats show 60-70% Seven Outs. The Seven is coming, you might as well get paid. One reason I love Craps, only game in the house you can bet with or against the player. Damn! Would I love to be able to bet on the  Dealer in BlackJack when Charles Barkley is playing.

I hope these brief videos are either entertaining or instructional.

Watch out for them Sevens...

Hi, thanks for your instructional video. I've been playing with your program for several months now and find that it is one of the more valuable programs because of the history feature.

I have a couple of questions to confirm my understanding of your Hit & Quit method:

- You picked $50/$60 place bets, any particular reason other than to show how quickly a lot of money can be won? Any recommendations for lower minimum tables 5/10?

- Each time you hit a number, do you always press by the same amount? For example if you got four 6's in a row, your bets would be 60,120,180,240 for which you would collect $280 on the fourth roll, and then take the place bets down?

- After taking down the place bets, do you always keep the pass line odds up?

- When, if ever, would you make the exception and wait more than 4 rolls before taking the place bets down?

- How long do you wait after taking down the place bets do you put the place bets back up again? Until a seven? It can be very very painful to miss out on a hot shooter, but I presume this is where the discipline comes in because tables are more often choppy than hot, and most shooters seem to throw 2-6 times before sevening out anyway.

Thanks!

Hi dweeby, thanks for your kind observations. From your detailed questions, its obvious your have played the game.

I will try to provide some answers and discussion.  I'm a math guy and always searching for a way to apply math to the chaos that a Crap shoot is.  So since I know that 1 in 6 rolls should be a Seven, I should be able to get in 4 rolls, take my money and watch from the sidelines. I want a number of small wins to accumulate into a large win.

In my example Video I was using $50/60 bets, you can make yours $5/6. $25/30 or $500/600 as your bankroll dictates.

My Hit It & Quit It style calls for re-posting the same Place bet if it hits. So you start with a Place 6 for $6, it hits, you stack another $6 on that Place 6, putting "Pressure" on the Place 6 which now has a $12 bet. So Yes, I am always pressing my original bet, using the "House Money" from my winning payout.  Then, after the 4th roll, take ALL the place bets down and try to dodge the Seven.

Then we still have the Pass Line Bet with 2X Odds in place.  The House Rules everywhere are strict that you cannot take down a Pass Line Bet, however you can raise lower or remove your Pass Line Odds bets any time.  But the question is - should I?? Thats going to be up to you, whether to leave the Odds bet up. If the shooter rolls numbers that did not pay, I'm taking the Odds down expecting a Seven.

On exceptions to the rules, if a shooter is rolling great numbers I might leave up my Place Bets 1 or 2 more rolls, or take down the 5 & 9 and leave the 6 & 8 up. Here we are really just guessing and have left the rule book on the bench.

Two caveats of the rules of Hit It & Quit It style:

 1) If the shooter's First Three Rolls are Crap and do not pay, immediately take down every bet you can as the Seven is coming for sure.
2) If the point is 4 or 10, it takes longer to resolve usually and you can risk a fifth roll with Place Bets up.

Now about putting Place bets up again.  We all want to avoid missing out on the 20-25 roll pass that you can really profit from. My experience on the live and computer game is that as soon as you go back up, the Seven comes!   Roll Eyes  One thing you can do is to make your Place Bets (or re-up) at the most minimal level if you feel a long roll coming.

Your statistical observation is so accurate, 95% of the passes are 2-6 rolls. Right! Take the mean average of that - its 4 rolls. Genius!  Yeah the Hit It & Quit It style might miss you out on the one great 15-25 roll pass, but those are so very rare.  The whole meaning of the Hit It & Quit It style is just to have a consistent playbook and stick to it. The math will work out  in the end.  Grin

Thanks for your excellent questions.
- Big Al

Thanks for your quick clarification, Al!

I had another question, which I think I know the answer to, but wanted to confirm:

If during the 4 rolls, the point is hit, and when a new point is reached, does the 4-count start over again? I'm guessing yes, especially if a seven comes up during the come-out?

If you keep the place bets up through points made, the place bets can increase by quite a bit, which is a good thing!

Good question. The way I play Hit It & Quit It is to completely reset and start over on any point made or lost.   I see what you are saying that lets say you Pressed 3-4 Place bets, and the point is made, you would have significant Place action on table for the next Point.  The "rules" call for a complete reset, though you can dismiss that and keep going into the next Point series if you like. Thats why they call it gambling, Baby!

Note that on My Craps Game, what I like to do is load up Place 5-6-8-9 at Come Out time with the Preset Bet button. That way, should the point be 5-6-8-9, the software will drop the bet that Point is sitting on automatically. You wouldnt set up like that on a live table, but you could if the dealers were nice.

Good luck always.

Thanks for your quick clarification, Al!
