I purchased your excellent software from my hotel room at a northern Wisconsin casino back in March '09.  I had lost my allotted bankroll for that day, and still wanted to play more craps, so i went to Google and found your software.  Stayed up pretty late that night!
I don't use that laptop much when I'm not traveling, so I haven't played MCG much until just recently.  I now have the new version installed on my desktop pc.
I play at $5 tables.  I start out with the pass line and double or triple odds, and place $6 on the 6 & 8 pressing once or twice after they hit.  I also play the hardways some nights.  I know the odds are bad, but I can't resist those high payouts when they hit.  I do well some days, and lose my bankroll fast on other days.
I also like the darkside.  I play $10 on the DP and also put out 2-3 $10 DC bets.  I never lay odds when playing the darkside.  I just have trouble making a bet that pays less than even money.  I'd rather throw out another DC bet.
I'll be spending more time with MCG, testing how well I'd do if I did lay odds.  I also have a large kitchen table and a craps layout with a good selection of chips.  It's a lot of fun playing with family, making much larger bets than I could if it was real money.

Thanks Jeff, for your fine report and kind observations.

This contrasts a Request For Refund yesterday from a guy who bought the game, stated he followed his Casino's instruction to the letter, yet lost at the MCG simulation 3 times (so the software must be defective!). Most of our customers are smart people and clever players like yourself, yet dealing with the public is a "Crap Shoot").

Lots of the MCG Players state they play on the Dark Side, as I often do noticing the inescapeable fact that the shooter will Seven out 60-70% if the time. Yet, its hard to win on the Dark Side with the 7 and 11 killing you on the come out and the Laying of odds. If the Point is 4 or 10 I am pretty sure of a Seven out but hate to risk $100  to get paid only $50. I like $50 coming out on the Dont Pass and $150 Dont Pass Odds (3x) on all points, jumping to $300 Odds after 2 Seven Outs in a row. I often will take Seven Insurance as Big Red, though the worst bet on the table it often protects my Dont Pass bet.

I too will try an occasional Hard Way. I am in love with the Hard Eight, I have parlayed a $10 bet into $1000 a number of times, but missed all 3 chances last week...   Undecided

Good luck to you.

It's too bad he didn't give your software more time, as I think it is an excellent learning tool that allows us to test the effects of our betting styles and theories on our bankrolls.  Perhaps he is a tool for expecting to win immediately when doing everything correctly.
Our wins and losses will rarely approach what the odds say they should.  Who can afford to stay in the game that long?

If any readers here are fans of betting the field, be aware that my local casino pays triple on boxcars.  That still makes the field a bad bet, but makes it look much more appealing than the standard 2x payout on both snakeeyes and boxcars.  I do see much more action on the field here than I do on my rare visits to Reno and Las Vegas.
My local casino is Ho-Chunk.  It's an easy 5-10 minute drive off of interstate 90/94.
